Incident 3 — April 24, 2026 (current) Following the second dealer visit, vehicle was driven approximately 90 miles from [XXX] to [XXX] without incident. Approximately 30 minutes after parking, vehicle was restarted for a short local trip. Upon restart, the engine emitted a loud abnormal noise and exhibited severe difficulty accelerating. On April 27, 2026, a third party OBD-II scan performed at Autozone confirmed active misfire codes P0300, P0302, and P0303 were still present following a hard battery reset performed by the owner's. "While driving under normal conditions on a dry road (no snow or ice), the vehicle experienced a sudden loss of braking performance while in motion. The vehicle was traveling approximately 10–15 mph and approaching an intersection with a red traffic light. A warning message appeared stating: “Brake system problem. Brake performance may be reduced. See your dealer.” Immediately after this message, braking performance was significantly reduced. Multiple attempts to slow the vehicle using the brake pedal resulted in minimal deceleration. The stopping distance was much longer than expected for the speed and conditions. The vehicle only came to a stop after the brake pedal was pressed with full force. Shortly after the initial brake warning, multiple additional safety-related systems went offline, including collision avoidance and other braking-related driver assistance systems. Approximately five to six warning messages appeared, indicating a cascading failure of safety systems while the vehicle was still in motion. The driver was able to slowly maneuver the vehicle to the side of the road and park safely. No collision occurred. However, shortly before this incident, the vehicle had been driven on a highway. If the same failure had occurred at higher speeds or in traffic, it could have resulted in a serious crash or injury. But no, I told myself, my foot was on the brake and was pushing as hard as I could once I thought it was me (yep, should have hit the parking brake, but it all happened super-fast). I rolled into him, the light turned green and he pulled ahead, I got aside him rolled window down to ask if his vehicle was standard as I was still convinced he rolled back into me. Needless to say he said no and pretty much ripped me a new asshole for tapping him - I apologized and said "i thought you rolled into me". Brake hold is always on but I was not using the hold, my foot was on the pedal (pushing like a madwoman at one point)."

"On [XXX], my 2024 Honda CR-V Hybrid experienced a sudden loss of acceleration while driving on the highway, creating a dangerous situation where I was unable to merge or maintain speed. This put me at immediate risk of an accident as other vehicles were traveling at normal highway speeds. This issue arose less than 136 miles after my vehicle underwent recall repairs on [XXX] at Superstition Springs Honda in Mesa, Arizona. The recall repairs included: •Fuel Pump Safety Recall (NHTSA Recall 24-049) •CVT Greasing Recall (NHTSA Recall 24-123) After the recall repair, my vehicle displayed a dashboard warning on [XXX] stating: “Emission System Problem. Power may be reduced. See your dealer.” Following this warning, the vehicle failed to accelerate properly despite pressing the gas pedal, making highway driving unsafe. I took my vehicle back to the dealership immediately. The dealership categorized this as an emissions system failure but has not confirmed if it is related to the recall repairs. The dealership also stated that I would need to drive 500 miles after any repair to “confirm” the issue is resolved, which is unreasonable and unsafe given the circumstances. This is a serious safety defect. A sudden loss of acceleration on the highway creates a high risk of collisions, injuries, or fatalities. Other 2024 Honda CR-V Hybrid owners have reported similar emission system failures after recall repairs, suggesting this may be a widespread issue. This issue is now under review by Honda Corporate (Case #[XXX]), but I have not received a clear resolution or assurance that my vehicle will be permanently fixed. I request that NHTSA investigate whether Honda’s recall repairs are causing secondary defects leading to acceleration failures. "I want to announce that is going to be 78 DAYS on Monday 21st of this month! Since I discovered after the recall repair done at authorized Honda dealership on Jan the 15th. I'm a vehicle inspector and have documented and recorded on live video on the steering problem that this vehicle that we have owned on new conditions. Honda and even the arbitrator according to them I don't have enough evidence for this vehicle to be re-repaired again. On California lemon law anything that has been more than a month qualifies for a replacement or a refund. The problem is that the dealership states that is normal operation standards to them. I need a 3rd party inspection or an attorney that can represent, we have solid evidence that after the recall repair still has the same issue. I'm a nobody without help. Contacted BAR as well. I need someone that investigates deeply what's going on with Honda of America. This vehicle needs to be taken to a Lab and diagnosed. We're going to take it again Monday the 21 to diag job in Spreen Honda of Loma Linda. Please help!"

"On 1/21/25 I had multiple warning lights appear while driving along the highway @ 60 mph. The error messaging included “transmission failure, loss of power, emissions control…”. I had not seen alerts prior to this incident, and was not aware of changes in performance other than a recent, minor, decrease in fuel efficiency. Fortunately, I was able to safely exit the freeway & park in a nearby shopping center. My vehicle was towed to the local dealer, Marin Honda. After a week of evaluation, and consulting with Honda America tech support, the dealer reports difficulty isolating the problem and determining appropriate repair. At this time a cracked piston has been identified, and the plan is for a technician to use a barescope to evaluate the cylinder for damage, and the potential need to replace the engine. I am concerned that multiple owners of this model & year have reported the same problem, including loss of power while traveling at high speed (see CRV Owners Club) Their vehicles were also determined to have cracked pistons, with and without cylinder damage. It has also been noted that when the fuel injector remains open it may be a contributing factor to a cracked piston. Could this be relevant to the current recall issued for the fuel pump on the 2024 CRV? Whatever the cause, the potential for catastrophic engine failure places drivers and their passengers, as well as other drivers, at great risk of a serious accident."

"I leased a 2024 CR-V Sport Hybrid in April 2024. And in early October I backed out of a parking spot. When I applied the brakes there was no response and I back into a parked car. No damage was done to it but I had an estimate of $2000.00 to mine since it was on the hatch back door. I didn't report it because I thought it was my fault. But on Friday Nov. 29, 2024 as I was parallel parking I reversed into the spot and straighten out my vehicle. I put it into gear and started moving forward about six feet slowly. When I went to apply the brakes nothing happened again and I hit my wife’s car in front of me. The CR-V Owners Club has reported a similar incident."

"Driving on an [XXX] near St Pauls NC at 70mph the engine shut off. Annunciator came on stop now engine is quitting. Check engine light came on. We were in a construction zone so there were barriers blocking the shoulders. We were in a high risk of someone behind ramming into us. We coasted to the exit which was 1/2 mile away. We exited at 2mph. We were very fortunate that no one from the rear, hit us. There was a tractor trailer behind us who put his flashers on, realizing the issue stayed behind us to keep cars from hitting us. All warning lights came on, first engine then all of the safety warnings. Car would not run. It was towed to a Honda dealer in Fayetteville. Honda analyzed the issue as a misfire resulting in engine damage. They performed a boroscope and found 3 piston cracked. Honda after 3 weeks installed a new short block and fuel injectors. "Description of incident: Saturday, [XXX] I was in traffic on I [XXX] near the [XXX] exit in Indiana. It was a stop/go, stop/go event as 6 lanes were going down to 1 lane. I was behind a Kroger semi-truck. I had my foot on the brake. I thought the people next to me had started to move, but then I noticed that I was getting closer to the truck (while my foot was on the brake). I pushed the brakes down further. I felt normal resistance. Nothing happened. I hit the cancel button of the adaptive cruise multiple times on my steering wheel thinking that perhaps my adaptive cruise started my movement. I kept rolling. Kept hitting the brakes wondering why I didn't stop. No beeps went off like they normally do. I rolled into the truck. My adaptive cruise had been set to 70, and I had used it before the incident. It was still on standby, but not green. My odometer was around 9547. This happened around 9:50am. No beeping sounds started or emergency braking happened. I would approximate my speed of hitting around 3-5 mph. I hit the truck. I had tried to switch to neutral and then to park. I could not move the gear shaft. I was hitting the brake hold. Anything to make me stop. Nothing worked, and I hit the truck. I did not move after hitting the truck, maybe one of the things I attempted to do worked. My foot was still on the brake. I pulled over, turned off the car, and restarted it. I have not applied the adaptive cruise since then. I don't know if it had anything to do with the incident, but I'm afraid to use it. If I had been moving at a faster rate, my safety and others would have been at risk. I took the car to the dealership. They provided me with a Honda multi-point vehicle inspection checklist and stated that they couldn't find anything wrong. There is definitely something wrong. "Sunroof imploded while driving on the interstate. There were no cars around and the weather was sunny mid 80s. It sounded like an explosion with glass flying everywhere. Luckily the sunroof door was closed so glass didn’t fall on top of me. I pulled off the road immediately and no evidence of any outside source was found to explain incident. Dealership claimed it must have been an outside source without proof."

"October 10, 2024 at about 1200 hours, the entire dashboard display and the upper center console display unexpectedly went black with no visible readout after having drivin 1-1/2 hours on the highway. Pulling off the road, we were able to reset the brightness to maximum and just able to see the readout. This event continued to be repeated several times during the course of the day. We had less than 9000 miles on the odometer at the time. I have checked the fuses, battery, and battery connections-all are in order. This event again repeated itself two weeks later on our return trip. In addition, the fuel gage has failed to fully up date on the display after being reset at the pump. I'm concerned about the possibility of the computer being the problem. We have less than 12,000 miles on the CRV Hybrid. The danger to us and others is that we had no idea of our speed, fuel amount, safety warnings, turn signals, nor what other safeguards were not working. The car is available for inspection upon request. We felt that this safety issue was serious enough to report it nationally before taking it to the dealers, which we will now do along with the other safety recalls on it. At this time, it has not been inspected by manufacturer, police, insurance representatives. Upon completing our first aforementioned long trip, we have not seen the electrical problem repeat within the short distance we drive. Possibly related, the Lane Departure Warning has been activated for no apparent reaason."
